He is still with us

July 25th, 2008 · 7 Comments

You thought we’d gotten rid of him, didn’t you?  Thought that those never ending eight years had finally ended, didn’t you?

Well, as Gomer used to say: surprise, surprise, surprise.

Until we ferret out all that is hidden away in all the nooks and crannies of City Hall where the Jackster swept away things to be dealt with by those who followed him, he is still with us.

UPDATE: From reports by The Telegraph, it appears that that constraints imposed by the federal government through the U.S. Attorney’s office are making it difficult for the city to figure out what its side of the story is, much less tell it.  Are the feds playing fair with the City of Macon?  Read today’s article linked below and Travis Fain’s Lucid Idiocy (Politics) post linked below.  (Always read Travis Fain and Matt Barnwell.)

Could not “Open Records” be invoked in this situation and it reveal who/what took part in this problem?
I personally think the Macon taxpapers deserve to know how much went to whom/when/for what.
This is the taxpayer money being offered as a settlement and I’d like to know the facts.
And wouldn’t you know this would happen on C. Jack’s watch when he was mayor! And I bet it’s not all either.

It’s like getting dirt in your mouth; you spit and spit and spit. Then, you take the hem of your shirt and start wiping your tongue and teeth. Yuk!! Anyone got a Coke?

The ex mayor and his deeds are like malaria, they never completely go away. And what happened to those indictments?

Anchor, you’ve scared me out of my wits with that ghostly image. How frightening!

The Jackster looks like he’s coming after me….can you delete all the bad things I’ve said about him and his wives?

Maybe the contributors to C Jacks campaign might contribute to retire his debt. Watch later for an interesting list of contributors to some of the local races that continue to contribute to campaigns for self serving reasons. Compare C Jack’s list to other local candidates and you will get the big picture. Check later for” Quid Pro Quo” (sic) contributions.

Carolynb……..sorry to have to tell you this, but most of The Jackster’s past contributors will deny any association with him. Other than The Last King of Macon, of course.
