Anchor, what are we to do if we don’t have Blackberrys? Are we just s _ _ _ out of luck?

This morning I have this peculiar sense of uneasiness and isolation…….I’m afraid that my family and I will not be part of this historic tidal wave of “CHANGE” that will sweep our nation.

What can I do Anchor? Does the evil and powerful “BIG PHARMA” industry have any drugs that can help me cope with this messianic agent of change?

Other questions……..will Michelle have to forgo the customary title of “First Lady” since she is the VP ? Or will she have both nameplates on her office door? Will she have to take off her rings before she fist bumps?

This is a tempest in a teapot. Obama will not win regardless of who he picks as VP.

Augustus, I pray to God that you are right. This election will have major and profound historic implications.

    Ditto to C.A.S.

They are talking about the Hillarites who are going to vote for “Go, Johnny, Go” out of spite to the Dems who messed up their girl.
Have you ever been in close proximity to an angry Dem. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned or a Dem p–sed as hell at the other Dem who is such a “Celeb”.

    Dare I share?
I’m a yella dawg…not pissed or angry. Actually was hoping for Hillary for P but would be happy with her as VP.
But if it doesn’t go that way - well, there are lots of huggable trees to comfort me.

What a Scoop. Just got my text message from “The Man”. Secret’s out! Elaine “Insane” Lucas is his pick for VP. Oh, Oh, could her hubby of the Krok fella be sending me bogus messages?

Hill has all my contact info, and you know I was campaigning for her, but I will not do anything out of spite. The McCain sign in my yard now is the sign of patriotism. Citro, was that you in the back seat of the limo I saw drive by with Snakehead an Hill riding shotgun? I have heard that Michelle has not and will not vet Hillary’s wardrobe. She was pasting the international “no pantsuit” symbol all over the convention venue. I see no love lost amongst the houses of Obama and Clinton…

I’ll say it, since no one else will. I’m a life-long Maconite. The United States of America is not ready to elect a black President.

We have a choice between two bad choices. The American public will hold their nose and vote for the WHITE, former POW. I realize that statement is not politically correct, but it is reality.
Obama has made this a racial issue. He slams his white heritage, even though he is 50% Caucasian.
It’s convenient for him to hang the Black moniker on himself as his race, but he is as much White as he is Black.
Since the USA is 68% Non-Hispanic White, and 12% African-American (see Wikipedia), the prospect of over 40% of whites voting for Obama,(asuming almost all of the African-American vote will be for Obama) is a fantasy.
The people of Macon, that read this blog, can come back and tell me how “diverse” they are, and how they voted for C. Jack. The truth of the matter is, Barack Hussein Obama will not be elected President of the USA in 2008.
I’ll be happy to tell you “I told you so” in November.

Citronella…………true confessions!!! You are to be commended for being honest and forthright. I hope that you are one of Hillary’s many supporters who are now voting for McCain.

Macon On The Move, I am not a life long Maconite. I have lived all over the United States, north, south, east and west. I will be voting for John McCain, but I will not be holding my nose, nor will I be voting for him because he is white. I think the United States is ready for a black President, but it is not ready for Barak Obama.

Maybe if you left Macon for a few years and experienced the different perspectives that are held in various parts of the United States, you, too, would be able to say that you voted for who you thought would positively contribute to our country, and not because you had to choose between “two bad choices.” That is the statement of a helpless victim.

Well, I’m a long time Bibb Countite but not a native and I’ll be voting for Obama. I held my nose between Bush and Kerry and decided to skip that one. Neither was worthty of my vote and I was proven right with the one that won. I’m voting for a change and I’ll give the Obama a chance. McCain is just not the same man he was and he’ll be just more of the same.

Just mine: Rotsa Ruck. Just remember some of the nuttiness that went with Bill Clinton’s tenure. My God. It will be more of the same if JoeJoe and Barack make it to the White House.
Nothing was proven, nothing at all. There is so much still in progress that we don’t know crap at this juncture. This is a feature of people who look at life and the world in 6-month chunks. It takes about a decade to figure out what it going on. It is tremendously complex, and not for the untrained eye. Read some of the writings Warren Buffett has made lately. He is FOR Obama. Read what Warren says.
And too, there is NOTHING wrong with an African American president. I am totally, TOTALLY ready for a black president. PLEASE show me the qualified candidate. Colin Powell (and his wife, mostly), said “NO Way” to the presidential bid. Powell said NO. He did not want that job. There are many, many people of color who would be better suited as president than the Illinois senator.

    Buffett quoted in Frankfurt, Germany:

“They say in the stock market … buy stock in a business that’s so good that an idiot can run it because sooner or later one will,” he added.

“Well, the United States is a little like that. We can take a little mis-management from time to time,” Buffett said.

Macon on the move, you are correct about most whites not voting for a black candidate, especially for president. I have said that here several times. The hispanic vote will also be mostly for McCain, esp. since he sponsored the recent amnesty bill. Right or wrong it is a reality. The dems have made a terrible choice.
