I know we’re all grateful that Hizexhonor C. (for “Can you say ‘Thank goodness he’’s gone?’”) Jack Ellis has found gainful employment. From the web pages of the Used-To-Be-Macon-Telegraph:
Jack Ellis has been designated an honorary consul by the east African country of Uganda, the former Macon mayor announced Friday in a news release.
Ellis will oversee the welfare of Ugandan nationals residing in Georgia and other southeastern states, according to the release. He also will promote commercial, economic, trade, investment and other interests of Uganda, the release said…
He will take his oath of office Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. at his new consul office located in Centennial Tower, 101 Marietta St., Suite 3410, in Atlanta.
Actually, he was previously named an “Honorary Consul General” of Uganda but apparently this “honorary” designation comes with an office.
Honorary. Oh, well.

In my tiny world, honorary means no compensation. No remuneration. My guess is, the City of Macon is footing the bill for this pussy footing. Not that there is anything wrong with Uganda–some of my fave people were born there. There is just something wrong with my ol pal the car salesman…

Just wondering if the Ugandan embassy in Washington will disclose Hakim’s salary & benefits package?
If not, then the federal government in Kampala must have a Freedom of Information Act provision so that we can get the file. Are you listening at The Telegraph? How about it Cumulus?
Also, it must be noted that Uganda is the Sub-Saharan African country of that infamous “butcher” and former dictator, Idi Amin, who killed hundreds of thousands of his own people. I understand that the current government is fairly stable, though.
The Israeli Defense Forces and Mossad kicked Amin’s ass and the PLO pretty good back in the ‘70s during the raid at the Entebbe airport in order to free airline hostages. I’m sure that Hakim would agree that that was the right thing to do.

Well, at least he is out of the immediate Macon area. What happened to that indictment?

Reading the word honor or honorary in a sentence with Hakim gives my synapses a short circuit.

Could the opportunity to claim “Diplomatic Immunity” have any impact on this position as the U. S. Government may still be moving forward on “Where Did All The Money Go?”

Flower Child might be on to something with this “Diplomatic Immunity” suggestion. Also, how is it that Hakim is now affiliated with Uganda, and not Ghana?
Could he have possibly worn out his welcome in Ghana after all those “free” trips?
I do not like this man.
