For years I’ve heard, “Wonderful Robins” used in a sarcastic tone….so I’m having a hard time grokking this bit of news that folks sincerely think it is wonderful. Macon is definitely a prettier city but our school system and crime rate are not pretty that’s for sure. Good for Warner Robins. Maybe we can learn something from our neighbor.

“Learn Something From Warner Robins”. Yeah, I’m sure their police would stake out an ATM location that had several armed robberies in less than a month with no arrests. And they wonder why businesses and folks are leaving.

Market studies make retailers, new business folks, happy to go to Warner Vegas. I drive down there all the time to get stuff I need. The sales clerks are friendly and well-trained. The prices are decent. It is a pleasant place to shop in our area. It means sometimes I don’t need to go to Atlanta to shop in person. Warner Vegas may be funny lookin but it has a lot going on right now.

I was in Warner Robins tonight and the Watson Boulevard shops are getting trashy. Maybe GA96 is becoming the “better” section and the older stores are going to seed. I saw cruddy women either yell at their kids where the whole store could hear it or they let their kids run around. They looked like they were raising extras for the movie “Deliverance”. Oh and the mayor in WR is going to fetch a lawyer because the council told him to stay home since he didn’t come to work. The luster’s wearing off.
